Bottom line, DON'T GO HERE! Ok, so lets start with administration. Administration at LMP is absolutely ridiculous and financially orientated only. They will attempt to act like they are attempting to solve problems and run the school with a focus on the students but that is clearly not the case. The administration will basically blow anyone with a complaint off with something like were working on it, or let me check with so and so, but nothing every gets done even if you bring up the issue multiple times. Now that I have explained why they are ineffective let me tell you why they are financially orientated. The whole system runs through a large company called Meritas which operates multiple schools. They basically own them but its more like a franchise than anything. The problem arises because Meritas provides little or no oversight to begin with, as long as the quotas are filled all is well. As a result this mentality is passed onto the Headmaster, Mr. Glen Chapin, and then down the chain. The overall result being a strong sense of carelessness until somebody threatens to leave as well as a totally biased priority placed on the international students because of the fact that the internationals pay more than the locals do to attend. When someone does threaten to leave at that point, administration reverts back to the " were going to work on your problem" scenario in which nothing gets done. Furthermore, administration also provides minimal oversight over the teachers. This is where it gets interesting, because the teachers have little to no oversight, they often avoid lectures, and productive classes; however because the teachers are required to assign a certain amount of assignments in an effort for the school to seem more academic, the students are left holding the bag with an excessive amount of assignments and little actual knowledge to complete these assignments. This is especially apparent with teachers that prioritize the use of technology. The technology only makes things worse because it allows the teacher to more easily assign assignments that are generally due at midnight (which doesn't help because now the student cannot do the assignment before class). without giving any help on how to complete those assignments. Overall the school simply has a vast array of issues and therefore I suggest that anyone interested avoid it like the plague.
